I have a 74 1150. Was wondering what would interchange with this. I thought I read that 90 to 135 HP lower units were all the same, but I don't know for what years it applies. Any ideas?<br /><br />1986 16' Checkmate Enticer w/74 Merc 1150
Most lower units from any of the big 4 cylinder motors (75hp to 85 hp) and in-line sixes will bolt straight up. The thing that is different is the gear ratio. The V6 units won't fit.
