I had a H20, went to the H20C, then back to the H20. As far as operation they were the same but the H20C was very hard to see in bright sunlight.

I also have the H2O C and love it. Yes in direct sunlight it is somewhat hard to see but under the cab of a boat, in the car it is great. The color unit is also more expensive. The two units perform exactly the same but I like the color unit.
I guess it is personal choice.

Are you still watching a B&W TV? If not, why? The same reasoning applys here. ;)

I had an h2o c and never did fork out the extra cash for the adapters and mapping programs, it had stuff I'll probably have never used so I sold it in favor of something more basic. The speedometer feature was cool though and about the only thing I miss, my cell phone has gps now.

H2Oc.

Just keep it plugged into the cigarette lighter and set it up with the backlight always on.
