I am looking for a hand held gps that has download capapbilities. I have looked at the garmins an like the gpsmap76 and then I looked at the ifinder atlantis. The atlantis seems to have a lot of features for the money.
Anyone have any experience with this unit??

Thanks
Baddawg

I've got the I finder Plus with the Map Create software package. Collectively, they include the same data which the Atlantis affords you plus some additional highway navigation features.

I am very happy with my unit and especially like the ability to use the same data from my i finder on my Lowrance x18 sonar/gps unit and vice versa. However, I have found I could buy the data chips at a local electronics store for a lot less than what Lowrance sells them for.

All the I finder models come with a watertight bag for use around water. If you are interested in the Atlantis for marine use, you may also want to look at the new i Finder H20 which is designed to be waterproof. I don't think you will be disappointed with the I Finder.

Kevin
