Recently bought this beautiful used unit. Came with LCG-3000 gps antenna which was missing a resistor. I ordered two of the 120 ohm resistors and replaced both of them. Also came with a new 200khz transducer. I haven't installed it on the boat yet, just been playing with it in simulator mode to learn all about it. Didn't come with a manual so I'm doing what I can. My question is it states in the specs, etc that the unit is pre-loaded with MapCreate USA Topo and a couple of other digital maps....how do I access those maps? Also is Navionics the best way to go for digital mapping? I'm looking for a particular Lake in SC that they have. Wondering if it was worth paying the $ for.

Thanks for that! I already have that dvd but its pretty basic but does definately help. Want to get to know this system before even going out on the water.

Here is a link to down laod a manual for the unit.
My Retrevo - My Manuals

Good luck, I had one for a month..........the most ambiguous menu system I've ever used.

you definitely have to get out on the water and experiment. When I got my first unit I went out and spent half a day just playing with the features while on the water and seeing the live action happen. Being in the garage and learning all bout it is not the same as being out on the water and experiment. Either way you will have to spend some time out on the water playing with it.

Of course you have to be out on the water. But until I install it and put the boat in the lake which will be the end of this month I'm going to learn as much about it as I can.
