Lowrance LST 3800 compatibility

My 2008 Tahoe has a Lowrance LST 3800 in-dash depth finder with a thru-hull 200 Hz transducer. The display is failing and not amenable to repair, but the depth function works. I have been unable to find a replacement unit, and the thru-hull transducer can’t be replaced without pulling the engine.

Has anyone found another head unit (e.g. Sierra ) that has a 6-pin transducer connector that might be compatible with the Lowrance? This would allow me to replace the head unit but use my old transducer.

The problem you have is the connector. Connectors pins and configurations vary by manufacturer.

Highly unlikely you’ll find anything plug and play. The best you could do is to cut the connector off the old transducer and splice the new connector back on.

Thx! The Lowrance transducer cable is HST-WSU. 106-48. I have the wiring diagram for the Lowrance, but most other 2 inch units don’t share their wiring diagram. I was hoping that someone would have an LST 3800 sitting on a shelf somewhere!!

Buy a whole new gauge and transducer.

Thanks but as noted in the original post, changing the thru-hull transducer would require pulling the engine.
