I have a Lowrance x65 model. It is about 8 years old and worked well until the guys in my boat yard bottom painted over the transome mounted transducer. I ordered a new transducer online and it says it comes with the connector. My question: On the rear of the unit there are two connection points, one is a 6 pin connector circular in shape, the other one is a 2 pin connector that are side by side. Which one is the transducer connector? If I'm not mistaken, the 6 point connector is the power source, and the temp/speed connector. When I mount the new transducer and run the wire up to the front of the boat, will I be able to just plug it in to the rear of the unit, or will I have to tap into power somewhere? Thanks,Pat.

PatrolCarr<br />I do not remember for sure but if you get the right one it will plug in just like the old one did. None of them need to be spliced in, they all connect with conectors. At least on my X50 it has two connectors on the back of the unit. I do not remember which but one of the conectors cables on the back of the unit is about 3 feet long then it has two more connectors for things like speed sensor, temperature sensor. I think the transducer is the one that goes all the way to the back of unit. Mine is a older unit so when got a new transducer had to buy a adapter cable about 1 foot long to convert the old style connector to the new style connector.
