lowrance x510c

I see lowrance X510Cs w/transom mount x-ducers on sale for $350. I have a LMS520 and the specs appear to be the same except for no gps. Anybody out there had any experience with them?

After I purchased my Lowrance 5300c iGPS, I was very temped to purchase either the Lowrance x515c or the x510c. Talked with several sporting good stores and read many reviews on line. Do a search on this website or run the number in Cabelas and read the reviews. It seems most are happy with the unit, but some purchasers do have issues with it.
For me, I am backing away from the unit until the reviews get better from the people that have had time to use it.

sounds like good advice to wait for more reviews- i had already read the reveiws at cabelas. it seems most of the unsatisfied buyers had bottom lock problems, which may be an installation issue. for what its worth, i'm very satisfied with my LMS520C.

I had a x510c didn`t work very well for me. before the 510c I had a flawless x75 for 8 years. Was a true Lowrance believer.
I now have a Vexilar Edge2. Costly but great graph.
