Yep, give Lowrance a call.
If it is out of warranty there is a fixed repair cost. You just give them your unit and they give you a refurbed one. I used to live in Mississauga, Ontario where Lowrance Canada is located and I walked in with my malfunctioning out of warranty LMS 350, paid the fee and walked out with a fully refurbed unit 10 minutes later!!!!

Yes, called Lowrance. They no longer have parts for the X97.

Make sure it not something smiple like a corroded power conection or dead battery.
It is a shame but today most manufactures do not repair many old units. The model turn over is so fast that by the time the warranty is up they have no parts left only newer models.
