Lube fittings????

Hey Gents,
I have a '79 Johnson 35 HP that was gifted to me. Besides the normal grease zerks it has lube fittings in various places like the throttle linkage. I know you've seen them. They are just nipples with holes in them.
How do you grease these fittings? Is there a special grease gun fitting to pump into these things?

a regular grease gun fitting works..or one fitted with a "grease needle"...I wondered about that as well the first time I encountered one
