Im trying to lube the starter spring\cup area on a 1975 evinrude 9.9hp. The spring is in good shape but the line is slow and jerky on the rewind. A manual I have says to coat the insice of the cup with omc type A lubricant. What should I use if anything? Thanks for the info.
It's a grease that comes in a tube.White lithium will also work.Use sparingly baring in mind that a dab in the right place is better than two along side.
