After a good days fishin on Loch lomond I returned to the boat ramp to see lots of activity 1. Small 12ft speedboat on the back of a park ranger truck with the plug out and lots of water (30 mins to empty) coming out.
2. four very overweight people (2 of them kids ) Walking around with blankets round them . On asking the p@?sed off looking ranger what was going on he told me through gritted teeth tht the four go lightlys had gone on the small boat opened her up and quickly sank .luckily they were noticed and the rescue boat launched and managed to hook up to the partually submerged boat and pull it up on a plane to get it bouyant again ,no-one had life jackets on (they had lied to the ranger upon launching)and to top it off it wasnt even their boat ! the owner turned up as I was leaving the ramp ,if you could see his face ! Some people should not be allowed on the water!

Re: Lucky escape

First SHT: Lending the boat to neophytes.

Second SHT: Being one of those who knows not and knows not that he knows not.
