I bought a Lund 1700 Fisherman last year and am looking to mount some rod holders. Thing is we do use this as a recreation boat(tubbing, kneeboarding, etc) and I would like to be able to remove the holders if need be. I also want to be able to add a grill once in awhile and be able to remove. Something like this http://www.magmaproducts.com/Produc..._2/Gourmet_Series_BBQ/gourmet_series_bbq.html
From what I can tell it sounds like adding some rails or a track system would probably work best. Trolling would be mainly for walleye and some musky. I would be interested in any suggestions and pictures of boats all rigged up.

Re: Lund 1700 Fisherman Rod Holders

Don't know about the grill but you can get removable rod holders almost anywhere. They have tons of them here at Iboats. You mount a bracket either inside the boat or on the gunnel then the holder slips into that. Removeable when not fishing but versatile when needed. You could probably get some sort of mount for the grill to go into the bracket. For the most part rails are a PIA on a fishing / ski boat unless you need them to hold on to with a walk around bow.
