Lund Boat storage compartment question

I have a 2000 Lund Alaskan with 2 large stowage areas forward of a livewell in the bow. Both of these areas get water in them when it rains and when I am cleaning/washing the boat. I use the boat from April to November/December (ice) for fishing and duck hunting so it gets pretty messy. Is there anything under the floor in these stowage areas that would prevent the addition of a couple small drain holes to the bilge? I've though about using a sump pump just for when hosing it down, but I'd like something easier and more permanent. Anyone have any info or maybe another idea or approach to this problem? I'm going to try to get ahold of the folks at Lund also for their input.

Sorry, I don't know the details of the Alaskan's architecture, but I'd worry that drilling holes and letting the water go below the storage areas might soak the on board foam floatation.

Perhaps there might be a way to better seal the hatch covers?

Getting a hold of Lund might be a good idea or talking to someone at your local Marina familiar with the Lund Alaskan might be an option. I too would be very concerned about the water getting the Foam Flotation wet. But it probably is anyway. I'd worry that drilling holes and letting the water go out of the storage areas might soak the foam floatation even more. Is there any access below the deck where you can check the Foam? That might help you to determine if the holes would be feasable or even helpful.
