I want to make my own oil drain hose and cut off valve to drain the oil through the transom. Can anyone tell me what size and thread the oil drain hole is? 1984 M/C 470 in a JC Tritoon.
What happened to your dipstick??
On my non-modified pan the dipstick goes in the side of the pan where the drain plug would be.
Hence you can just pump out the oil through the dipstick tube.
Perhaps this question is so he can drain the oil with ease. Mine is the same way though; tube into the pan - it isn't all that bad to pump the oil out but it just takes longer.
I have never been able to get more than 3.5 quarts out thrugh the dipstick. I have an electric pump, a hand pump, etc, no mas!! I want to do it the old fashion way, drain the oil.
