made fix from rpm tach to motor your opinion

Thanks for looking and your opinion,
I have a 96 evinrude 90hp, I found my gray wire from my rpm tach to regulater/rectifier was bad. So ran a new gray from tach to regulator/rectifier and tach works. I have connectors at the regulator/rectifier and not a terminal line the tach side of the connector was bad too. Do you think this was the best fix other than running a new wiring harness.

well, it sounds like you fixed the problem. I would go with it. If the wire goes bad again, it'll be easy to fix next time
