magneto off

what holds it on? 66 sportwin 9.5. flywheel came off then all the electrical stuff was shown, i guess the magetto, how does it come off?

shold be held down by a nut,which threads to top of the crankshaft

took the nut off and used a puller to get the flywheel off, but the magneto isn't budging and no place for a puller. dont know maybe some screws i cant see. thanks for the reply

4 screws. Two of them are through the coils

AND the linkage that operates it. You have to remove the little e-rings, then the link, then take the shouldered pivot bolt out. Watch all the spacers and washers. Also take a look at the linkage that operates the carburetor so you can get that stuff back right.

Thanks for the vote of confidence:D I have a clymer but it covers alot of models and the pics aren't for my paticular model.
