:facepalm:Hi all
Still trying to fix this motor. I fix one thing to have another issue! I want to know what the spacing between the flywheel and the magneto on a 1975 25hp evinrude (25502b) should be. I also only have one mag, not two as I have noticed. This motor did run for a while... a while ago. It though was popping out of gear. I fixed that issue with a lower unit that I picked up from the now closed sea chest on wpb. I cannot get this thing to run now. adjusted the pts to 020, plugs to 030, fixed the fuel/water issue.... now I see that one plug stays soaked in fuel while the other looks good. I also noticed (by mistake) that when the fuel line was disconnected, the motor started and ran pretty good, until it ran out of risidual fuel. I have also noticed that the carb leaks fuel from the throat while in choke. Man... I a tired of typing! if anyone can answer at least the mag ?, I would most appreciate it.
By the way, I just got a carb rebuild kit and a pump rebuild kit.
Thanks so much,
Tony
