I just bought a 2004 Glastron 175MX bowrider with a Volvo 3.0. Having the boat serviced now before taking it out on the water. What yearly maintenance should I have done on the motor and outdrive? Or is there a sticky post for this? Thanks for your help.

Re: Maintenance

need to know more about your engine and drive, but generally......

oil change/tune up
pull the outdrive
check alignment, bellows and anodes
pull the prop and grease your shaft and gimble

Re: Maintenance

I recently posted my yearly winterization scheme to this thread: http://forums.iboats.com/volvo-pent...a-5-7gsi-four-winns-horizon-210-a-634001.html (I posted to an old message by accident - big forum faux pas - sorry)
Pulling the drive for additional inspection is a good idea but question if it is really necessary to do every year.
This subject comes up a lot, we should have a sticky thread on this.
Also note my method of fogging this engine is NOT and approve method and can cause problems if not done carefully.
