Hey guys. Good evening. After running the boat for awhile this weekend and noticing that the tach was not working I started to bother you all here for answers. Now knowing the tach gets its signal thru the regulator/rectifier and also knowing this box is giving DC back to my batteries, I went and just measured the batteries with my meter hoping MAYBE its just my tach and that the rectifier/regulator is still charging my batteries. My batteries were both at 12.6 volts. I think that was a good sign. I did not start the motor to see if I was getting more than 12.6 back to the batteries and I do not have my DVA adapter yet to check the signal at the back of the tach. My question is, a nice moderator here told me that it was quite possible to make my own adapter. I game to try if I had instructions. Cannot find the link. If I decide to bail on the making of my own, can someone recommend a place for a decent adapter that will not cost an arm and a leg by any chance?
Thanks
Sid
