While trying to test my 65hp merc that I just bought, it flew off and sank about 5 feet, Lets just say this wasnt the start of my day. I launched my boat started it up and slowly creeped out to the middle of the lake. My engine wasnt getting enough gas from my big tank ( still need to find the problem) anyways so i get in the back let my cousin take the wheel as i switch to my reserve tank, after getting it hooked up he punches it and begins to do what is suppposed to be a loop as im yelling at him to quit not even 3 seconds after that I watch my engine fly up in the air and then sink. I jump up in shock trying to pull the motor up. My cousin and his friend jump to the back and afer about 2 min we manage to pull the thing up. Im in shock at this point thinkin should I push him overboard or shoot him. Anyways I got the engine home took the disp. cap off and sprayed a bunch of WD40 in the cylinders. Fired her up with NO problem and let it run for 30 min. She is doing fine now. Just please dont be as stupid as me and bolt the thing down.

Do you still let your cousin take a turn at the wheel? ;)
