Hi
Has anyone heard of any problems with Hypalon glue integrity on Mako/Ballistic 3.5 Econosport inflatables manufactured in S Africa 2003-2005. I'm looking at a used boat in excellent condition, but when I talked to the new Asis/Ballistic website, they said that the boats made before they took over had problems.
Anyone know for sure?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Mako/Ballistic inflatables

Hey Steve

These boats are made for the South African climate, so I am not really sure how the glue on hypalon will be affected in freeze point temperatures if you get what i am saying ..... when you looking for a second hand inflatable I would not go for older than 3 years ......

Re: Mako/Ballistic inflatables

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Is it true that these boats are no longer made? The new Asis/Ballistic website says that the company in South Africa that manufactured the Mako/Ballistic econo-sport doesn't exist and that there is no lomger any customer service, warrenty or any other kind of support. It's a very nice boat, but I usually avoid buying "orphans" like that. Any information that you can get on the local scene is appreciated
Thanks,
Steve
