Man Overboard Tracking Device Survey

Hello all,
I am an MBA Student at Babson College and I'm currently starting my last class prior to graduation. As part of this class, we are required to conceive of a product or service idea, characterize its market potential, and develop a preliminary business plan around it. Naturally, I chose to explore an idea that centered on sailing. I would be extremely grateful if you would take a moment to take the below survey. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. On your equipment lease you must consider that most boating is done during the summer months.
Why would someone lease a system while it sat in a closet during the winter?
Just playing "devil's advocate."

Free replacements if lost by irresponsible people ? ?

Would this actually work if the bracelet was under water?

What distance would the bracelet send a signal?

Would it require a computer like device aboard vessel?

Would it require a WAAS gps signal for accuracy?

Would it require a cell signal or how would the location info be sent back to the boat, and how would it be received/read?

How would it detect an overboard situation?

Would it notify rescue personnel?

For those that boat alone, would it have any value at all?

Note to self: remember to remove bracelet from victim before dumping body

I thnka system like this would be practical for only comercial fisherman, or commercial seamen. Recreational boating with the exceptiion of sailboats or larger yachts keeping track of your crew aboard is easy. Plus if you looses one overboard your probally gonig to realize it immediately, that combined with the manouverability of a small vessel makes retrieval of that individual easy.
