hi guys, FNG here with a question.....
i have a '72 chrysler valiant that i got for $112, with trailer/motor. was told it ran, yadda yadda. well i started working on it as it sat uncovered on dude's property for a while, floor is great, i cleaned everything out, drained fuel, and noticed terrible play in the steering column. steering wheel was broken and moldy, i had to cut that off to remove it. long story short it looks like the whole steering "rack" needs to be replaced. i will post up pictures, but my question is this: how close can i get to a direct "bolt-in" aftermarket replacement? is this going to be a terrible pain to repair? trying to keep investment minimal and just have some fun with this thing.
cheers!
