I have a Volvo 4 cycl with a 270 outdrive.

There is what I will call an exhaust bellow between the exhaust manifold and a large tube going out to the outdrive.

It runs water in it and is leaking.

Anyone know what this part is called maybe even a part Number.

Also can I use regular exhaust maifold tubing or must it be in the bellow shape?:confused::confused:

Re: manifold Exhaust bellow

I don't know the part # but any Volvo dealer can get this part. Most any marine store West marine etc sell these too_Or Google Volvo marine parts.
The reason it has the shape it does is that motor shakes a lot at start and run the bellows allows the motor to move.If you put a ridgid hose on it it will really shake the boat even more.
If you decide to use a regular hose make sure you measure the exhaust manifold and the exhaust tube. They might be different size.
If you buy the original you wont have to remove the manifold to replace.Jerry

Jerry I am going after the original as you suggest. It is possible to remove this without removing exhaust manifold. I tried with the current one and it seemed that there was no room/very little and I was thinking it would destroy the boot. I assume colapse it and squiz it thru carefully or is the another secret to getting it done?

Re: manifold Exhaust bellow

Depends on how stiff the new bellows is.You might be able to squeeze it in.
It's not a big job to loosen the manifold bolts and put it on.Jerry
