manual bypass for '85 85hp tilt/trim

where is the manual bypass valve/screw on the tilt/trim motor/valve that is mentioned in the seloc manual???? the only screw I can find is half way up on the (tilt) motor housing, but that doesn't seem like a likely spot..... heavily rusted and stuck in position.... soaking with PB blaster for now.

1985 Force 85 HP.... and of course I have C-clips so already i'm dreading workin on this so far nonfunctioning tilt trim

not all valve bodies have bypass screw. Typically the bypass screw is found on early Chrysler tilt-only systems. I have never seen it on a four port pump. Make sure that you are reading correct section of Seloc as applies to your model and year. Spring tensions and pressure output also vary from year to year. If you can't be certain of what it is supposed to be then just set your output to 1200PSI forward and 400PSI reverse .... that should work with everything.
