Evenrude, 1989 50 hp VRO, 2 cylinder
Being an Idiot I unknowingly wedged the cable for the tilt between the bracket and the transom, when I was putting the motor back onto the transom. I tightened the botls that hold the motor on to the transom and in the process squished this cable. Now the tilt is seized and the propeller is almost down.
2 questions:
1) Is there an allan screw I can turn to unlock the pressure so i can lift the motor up since the tilt fluid cable is clamped, and dammaged?
2) To replace the new cable what is the procedure? Do I have to bleed the fluid like doing a car's breaks?
I was looking forward to try out this engine i just got and now i have to wait for the cable to come.
Thanks in advance for your help. You guys are great. And thanks for your time.
