Manual?

I bought a boat with a 1986 mercruiser 470 and it’s a work in progress and the last guy that had it really messed some things up. I am having trouble finding some kind of manual that can help me put the engine back to proper working order. I have gotten it to run but there are some coolant lines that are disconnected and some wiring that was disconnected as well. And the choke seems to have an automatic part to it that doesn’t seem to work as well.

second, sorry you boat a boat with the 470. you can search most of the 470 problems with google

regarding a manual, suggest you look at manual #3 as a start. you can properly obtain a used manual thru channels such as ebay and CL. or a new one directly from brunswick. since the motor is old, you would need to visit a dealer as https://publications.brunswick.com/ doesnt go back that far

however simply googling pictures of the 470 will show you where the very few hoses go

there are plenty of posts with the mercruiser 470 and its wiring (just use the search function or scroll down the mercruiser posts)
