Marada 220 DKR boat - is this too good to be true

Sold my boat last year because I was stationed in a very boat unfriendly place...no comments.

Now I am looking for another one.

Found a 2000 Marada 22' deck boat. It's going through an auction so I will be able to inspect it visually and put some mickey ears to "kick the tires". A water trial to time hole shot is not possible.

So, here's my question. The boat is just shy of 3000 lbs. Considering it's being pushed by a 4.3 v-tec 6 (same year I imagine), is this boat going to be a dog?

I am not looking for a jet boat, just a nice cruiser but my kids have all sorts of floats they are used to being pulled on. Care to weigh in on whether this will do the trick?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Should do ok. If its the 220 hp v6 (4 bbl carb) you'll be even better. Getting a 4 or 5 blade prop will help even more with watersports. Can't go too wrong if its a good deal. Just let it warm up all the way, check oil, check bellows, etc.

Ayuh,... Proped right, a 4.3l should be capable of bringing Joy for along time...

Pulling a couple slalom skiers, with a boatload of people probably ain't gonna happen...
Kids on pulltoys, 'n the parents watchin' should be Ok though...
