Marine Mechanics training programs

No colleges in my area (SC) offer marine mech training that I know of. Do some dealers offer training? Does MMI live up to the tv spots? Looks like a good field to me. Lots of boats here in the Lake Hartwell area.

Why don't you see if you can get a job as a "Mechanics Helper". You'll learn a lot that way.
