Look into this as an alternitive to Awlgrip.........
www.hmgmarine.com

Made in England and comes in 5 liter container = 1.3 gallons I believe. Cost is very attractive and is compareable to the Awlgrip finish.

Plan to apply by spraying on my 1978 Manatee project...........

Re: Marine Paint..........

Hi all,

Saw this post and wanted to jump in. HMG is available at clarkcraft.com, around $20/ltr for white, more for colors. They call it "K-Type Urethane". I'd call to insure availabiltiy.

I tried this paint out, as I needed a quart quick, and I was there.

Best decision of my life. Thinned it out with a little brushing thinner, and it rolled out like glass. Barely needed to tip the bubbles out. What I thought was really nice, was the fact that it was pretty much dry to the touch in about 3 hours. Waited till the next day to wetsand though.

What I thought was even nicer, was that any marine life that attached itself to the sides of my boat brushed off nicely, and I could wax it right back up.
