Hey another local! If you post more info (engine serial number, specifically what kind of info you seek, problem you're having, etc.) there will be someone here who can help. (That riser doesn't look so good). Welcome to iboats!

10-4, boat is at the lake. All I have found so far is "5.7 comp" on the valve cover.

What is it that you want to know?
Parts source, owners manual, tune-up specs.
All I know is what is on their website. 5.7L 315 hp. I am using the standard mercCruiser Fuel filter and the carb has a screen in it. With the 600 CFM 4160, I think, carb I am courious about timing and such.
I would like to just go on thinking it is a 350 chevy and just go for an MSD or such and the heck with it.
Do not want a reace boat just reliable.

ANy info would help.

That doesn't look like a Holley Marine Carb to me. Take a pic of it with the flame arrestor off. It has a closed cooling system

Holly is on the fuel bowls so that is a fact. Yes on the closed, never gets over 120 deg. Can put your hand on the riser afater a run.
The problem is that this boat was not run for 2 years. We got water in the filter (fuel) when I pulled it. Put in a new fuel filter, guessed on a standard 5.7 L for it and it fit. Now the problem.
Ran the boat for 1.2 hes (hour meter) at 2800 to 3000 Rpm. Engine bogged and died out (never stalled just no high RPM). Ran it back to the dock at 1250 rpm and never missed a beat, tried to put down the power and bogged down again. Again the engine never stopped just starved on top end.
My car background said that it is starving for fuel, I know no kidding, ignition is fine. The guess is that there is trash in the secondary fuel bowl since it runs fine on primary, low RPM. I bought some fule filters and will pull the filter on Wednesday. If no water then will look in the fuel bowls.
Anybody got another guess to take a look at?
Proven facts on the engine:
1. has 56 hours on it (50 + my 6)
2. MArine Power (350 chevy block)
3.There is a non working Teleflex GPH unit in the fuel line (this may be the culprit)
4. Whole engine was a long block new in 2003.

Ok suggestions please!
