Marine prices - U.S. v everyone else

A recent discussion has prompted me to ask this question, no particular reason, just interested.<br /><br />How much would you pay in the U.S. for a 2004 Merc. 50hp EFI bigfoot?<br /><br />I've just ordered one. $8800.00 including - fitting, 1st service, 12 months on water breakdown service, genuine service manual, water seperator/filter, helm controls, hr meter, tach (warning buzzer for oil & temp standard). $1200.00 extra for hydraulic steering (still undecided).<br /><br />One Aussie dollar buys about 70 U.S. cents at the moment.<br /><br />Aldo
