Re: marine radio.....

I purchased my VHF Radio from Consumers Marine Electronics. Their web site is www.cmelectron.com they are very competitively priced. I would also try your local BoatUS and West Marine. BoatUS has a price match policy and if your close to one it just may save you on shipping charges. I hope that helps you.

Lepper
I am a fan of West Marine but I always price compare. If you find it cheaper many store will match price. Reason I like west marine is their return policy. A couple of examples, I bought a interference filter for my Loran C, I installed it and it did not help at all so wanted to return it they said keep it and we will credit price. Some places will not take anything electrical back or credit you anything. Another Friend bought some fender cleaner and he tried it and it turned his fender pink. He wanted his money back so he took cleaner and fender to show them why. They looked at it and said ok and go get a new fender to replace that one, something he did not expect.
When you get your antenna I strongly recommend the Shakespeer 5225 or 5225 eliminator. Best antenna I ever seen. When I change to it doubled the proformance of my radios. That is for a fixed mount.

I always check e-Bay first. Many great buys for marine equipment used and new.
