Marine sealant designed for filling gaps

I need a marine sealant that is designed for filling and strengthening gaps in wood decks. The gaps are small but are between the edge of the plywood and the aluminum hull. I talked to a friend who said there was some product that he had always referred to as "peanut butter" because it had the consistency of peanut butter, but he could not remember the name of it. I have the Evercoat Formula 27, but it is too runny and will not fill the gaps without running down the side of the boat. I'm not sure if bondo would be better and thicker, its been about a year since I have worked with bondo. But i'm just seeing what is out there, or if anyone knows what I could use.

Thanks

Not sure why you posted another thread to ask the same question that others have already answered in your other thread Again, typically, the deck in aluminum boats is NOT attached to the sides of the hull, but IF you are determined to do so, then bondo Hair would be a good candidate. But... some of your gaps are pretty large and I'm not sure this will work. The sides WILL flex and could cause cracking.

^^^ Agree, don't seal the wood deck edges to an aluminum hull.

Wood and aluminum will have different expansion rates and if you use something to connect the 2 together, it will fail.

- Cold and wet, the wood will expand while the aluminum contracts.
- Hot and dry, the wood will contract as the aluminum expands.

Then there's the flexing of the aluminum hull as it rides over waves....
