Marine sealant

Anybody use DAP Auto/Marine sealant 100% Silicon?

Going to install my fishfinder and this is what I picked up locally? Anybody ever use?

Says;
Forms strong watertight seal

Withstands Saltwater
endures sunlight
excellect adhesion
Won't crack or shrink
not affected by temperature

Will be drilling a 5/8" hole for cable.....

No.

Use 4200 or 5200.

use 3M 5200 or 4200 sealant, $6-7 at Home Depot

Home Depots in my area don't carry 3M 4200 or 5200. The local ACE does.

Use 5200 for permanent use only, it is very hard to remove anything in which it has been uses. For a fish finder I would use 4200, there is a chance you might want to move it.
