Hi, I need a little help. I searched the forums but i am not sure what to do next.
I have twin 1995 115 mariners. My port engine stalls on startup the other runs great. Each of them are connected to there own filter that leads to the main 125 gallon tank. this issue occurred all at once and gradually got worse. If i do get it started the engine rpms increase very quick then drop then increase then drop eventually to a stall.
on way with my good engine if i start the bad one and able to quickly get it in gear it works fine above 1800 rpms on all cylinders in sync with my good engine all the way to wot. no issues. So my issue seems to be limited to erratic rpms below 1800 rpms to a stall
What i have done - checked spark on all 4 cylinders changed wires and spark plugs they look fine. I changed the thermostat, Ran seafoam from a portable tank. rebuilt the fuel pump and removed carbs checked every hole and cleaned it to an already sparkly clean carb. new gaskets and float needle measured to spec.
I should note the engine does not overheat and psi is at 5- 15 depending on rpms
