mariner 60 air box to carb gasket

How important are the rubber ring gaskets on the air box? I noticed that two of them were missing when I went to replace the air box. What do I call this part when looking in the parts manuals? I can find carburetors but not the air box.
Motor is a 1995 mariner 60 ser OG211531.
