Pontoon died going down lake, was running fine and just died, no missing or anything. NO spark. Unhooked fuel line and cranked engine and fuel was pumping. What to check next ?
The very first thing to check is the 20amp fuse at the engine. Also, the kill switch lanyard. If good then start the whole electric test series starting with stator, coils, power pack(s), rectifier, etc.
check your kill switch,try this ,take the clip off of the kill switch then press the button at the switch all the way in then crank the engine over .if it starts put a dime between the clip and the switch. it works..'
Do you have spark, thats the first thing to check, its unlikely its fuel or the kill switch being as it was running and died, more than likely its a ignition component i would suspect the stator or the switch box.
