Mariner 75 running problem ?

Hi guys
Still pretty new to this boating scene
Anyway
I got approx 1980 mariner 75 4 cyl
Starts perfect then after ticking over for about a min or so it just dies out
If I then pump the fuel bulb it will start and do the same again

Fuel system and pipes have been checked
New fuel pump innards fitted

Iam still thinking fuel problem but I can not understand what

Any help or advice appreciated

Test with a " known to be good " hose and portable fuel tank.
