Hi all!
I searched the forum and im still not sure how to fix this
My friend came to me with his Mariner 8HP from 79 model 8B i think it is.
He had replaced the impeller and when he was going to reinstalled it he accidently moved the shiftshaft.
So now the LU is stuck in gear the propeller is locked in gear regardless if i turn it CCW or CW.
he also said he could lift the shift shaft up turn it half a turn and then push it down again.
So it removed the cover on top of the LU where the driveshaft and the shiftshaft is coming up so i can look down to the gear. But since im not really sure wich way the shiftshaft should be installed or what should be in the keyway on the side of the lower end of the shiftshaft, any tips from pro?s in here would be highly appreciated.
