My 1989 3 cylinder 90hp Mariner Runs really well,But after I shut it down, and raise the engine via trim/tilt,it leaks a fair bit of fuel out of the middle carby,I removed and cleaned the carbs last week but its still doing it,The rubber tip needle looked ok,but I don't know how to be sure,All other jets/needles were clear.Any ideas why its leaking fuel ??

kind of curious if you may have a float sticking open. Also, make sure the carb is not leaking from the fuel line connection and running down to the front of carb when tilted.

My 90 does the same thing and it really makes the splash well look bad...I have rebuilt the carbs and decided that I will live with it since I can't resolve it...All of my v-6's don't have the problem.

My 1992 100 mariner does the same thing. Really oils up the splash well. I've started making sure I unplug the fuel hose and run all the gas outta the carbs before I pull it out of the water and that helps a lot.

Hi Longnkrnch, welcome to iboats! In order to try and help you better, it is preferred here on iboats that you start a new thread/topic of your own with as much information as you can provide vs. tacking onto the end of someone else's like done here. Please see iboats announcement near the top of the forum page titled: Help Tip:....Thank you and good luck. :)
