Mariner Idle Speed

Hi,i have a 1984 115hp mariner and just wanting to know the idle speed.Its currently idleing at 900rpm in neutral in the water.Sounds abit quick.Its not crunching gears or anything just going to bring it down abit.Whats the recommended idle speed??? Thanks

750 rpm...be careful if you don't know what you are doing as idle speed is adjusted by idle timing.....Steve

Thanks mate.i will check the timing when i lower it.750 is that in neutral in the water?
