Hello, I have recently brought a project boat with a Mariner Sixty outboard, unfortunately the ID sticker is no longer on the transom so I have no idea of the serial number and/or year of manufacture. Can anyone tell me another way to identify this outboard.

That's probably a part number I'd imagine. Somewhere on the world wide web there's a Mercury/Mariner identifier based on the cowling decal. that will get you in the ball park. That, of course, can't tell you exactly what year it is, but it could start narrowing it down. For example this;

https://www.clyde-outboard-services.../Mercury-and-Mariner-Identification-Guide.pdf

Puts yours around 1990-1993, assuming the cowling is original.

The cowling looks original, I cant see anyone going to the effort to change the cowling over here (Ireland)
