Mariner V6 age please.

I have a 135 hp Mariner V6 and am unsure of its age. There is a silver disc on top of the engine with C165817 stamped on it but no other marks. Could anybody age this engine please so I can source parts ?

That's brilliant thanks. I'd previously approximated its age by flicking through parts diagrams and looking for similar cowls/fittings but was unsure when ordering. Thank you very much.

put an O in front of the first letter and see what that gets you, if it is not an O then find out what the mariners start with my mercury starts with an OC222222
you might also look at the mercury parts catalog online and match up your serial number with a part
