Mariner Year?

Can someone help me out, thinking of buying this Mariner 15M motor with serial number 684 CS025129 but have no idea of the year, it's says made in Japan. Would buy if I can get parts but not knowing just what I have is the problem. Thanks

It's built by Yamaha they are wonderful little motors. Some parts are hard to get but water pumps and consumable items are available for them. Do a google search on the serial# you can find out what parts are available for them. Call mercury itself and ask them to look it up for you.
