Mariner yr and hp id help

I've looked everywhere and cannot find this id. The # on the plate on to of the head is b251832. The id tag is gone so this is what I was told is the model # I bought the motor being told it was an 88 150 I haven't been able to confirm that's the case any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Mike
