Hi everyone,
I'm brand new to vintage motors.... well motors really. So, I'll apologize in advance for stupid questions.
I'm going to be a proud owner of 2 '59 Mark 35a short shaft Merc outboards 15 or 20 serial numbers apart. One runs, one for parts since it's seized. I'm buying both off of my brother who also owns a number of other Mark Mercs including a '58 Mark 58 long shaft that he'd like to convert to a short shaft.
My question is, will the midsection and lower unit from one of the 35a's fit the Mark 58 and vise versa?
