I acquired a 1955 Mercury Mark 55. Runs well, I am just trying to get it ready for this year. The magneto has a grease-gun fitting on it that I suppose I need to lubricate. The manual lubricant chart does not have my model on it, and other models say to use "New Multipurpose Quicksilver Lubricant" for the magneto bushing. I would like to know what this is - grease? oil? what weight? I've only seen that kind of fitting on the steering components of my car, for use with a grease gun, but I find it hard to believe that is what I would use. Thanks for any info you may have.
