Mastercraft Questions

I recently purchased a 1987 Mastercraft 190. I have looked through the owners manual, but it is mute.

The horn does not work. I have tried to reset switch and tried bypassing the horn switch. Where is the horn at so I can check it?

The blower does not work. Any suggestions on where to start checking?

No, electrical is not something I really like doing, but....

Thanks.

Re: Mastercraft Questions

owners manual and other items will be easy to get for a mastercraft. you can probably get the manuals here:
http://www.mastercraft.com/index.php?znfAction=Manual

the horn will be under the dash, i'd trace the wires to find it. my horn is nearly useless unless everyone is real quiet, the folks in the bow might get to hear it. i carry an air horn, horn in a can thing that's real loud, and keep it in the pouch by the drivers knee.

the blower should be under a rear seat.

I did not intent to offend anyone for the placement here. The main catagory is mainenance. I guess I could have placed it in restoration, but it is not restoration either.

Anyway, what is the easiest way to access the horn if it is under the dash? It looks like I can take the drivers seat out completely by removing 4 bolts. Then what?

I'm not familiar with mastercraft, but any boat horn that I have seen is mounted externally......:)
