Matching OB motor with boat

I have a 14 Sea King boat from the 70's without a motor. How do I determine which size motor will work best on this boat. It is light weight. I also has a steering wheel and cables, but the last owner used a rear tiller.

how fast u wanna go? how many people u gonna carry.
going fishing ans carrying lots of gear?


well what ur max rated horsepower? 30-40 might be a good choice 30hp=almost 30mph 35hp=around 30 and 40=30mph+

if ur just trollling aorund a little mostly by ur self a 9.9 or 15 wouldnt be so bad but thats kinda the limit u must have on that size of boat

welcome to iboats. there are many sea kings, what style, closed bow run about, 3 seat open fisherman. need to know more about your boat.

my thoughts were refering to a closed bow runabout boat with remote control style up in the front
